When making considerations about energy efficiency, a key aspect when setting up a new home is the type of heating ventilation and air conditioning system to install. Equally important to put into perspective is the air conditioning specialist being charged to accomplish the task. This is because its operating efficiency largely depends on the accuracy of air conditioner installation Edwardsville.

The component is made up many parts. Some of the main parts include pipes, vents, ducts, heating furnace evaporator unit, condensing unit etc. The unconditioned air is pumped to pass through the system to give a desired result on the moisture content, the amount of water vapour and the general reliability of air to create a conducive environment.

During a cold weather a Heat pump is used to warm the house. A heat pump is a device that transfers heat from one location to another. It has a boiler system which generates the heat. Cable ducts are connected to the boilers. The cables then run through all rooms along the walls and the ceiling board. Hot water will flow through distributing the heat.

Cooling is achieved in the evaporator unit. This is a heat absorption system. It consists of a liquid, freon which is also found in refrigerators and cars. Warm air is passed through the unit, the freon then absorbs the latent heat as is turns to gaseous state. The unit has fins to provide a large surface area for the heat dissipation. It is also responsible for humidification.

Air conditioning is described as either natural or forced driven. Natural air conditioning is obtained by the use of ventilation systems. In designing a house consideration should be done. Large windows should be preferred to allow free flow of air. Indoor fans are used to facilitate forced conditioning. It mixes cold and warm parts of air alike and as a result create a cool environment.

Installation of this unit in a home has its merits. It highly increases energy savings because the heating and cooling components are interlinked. In this sense energy is absorbed and released. Therefore, the net energy loss is minimal. A thermostat installed in the system controls and sets the temperature to an appropriate amount depending on the external temperatures. This is so relaxing as one gets to enjoy a regulated environment depending on their preference.

Despite the advantages the is a number of disadvantages, notably the cost of purchasing and installing all the components. Not only can a few people purchase the ductless system but also the installation requires highly skilled specialist. These specialists are few and consequently, they are expensive to hire.

Poorly designed and setting up of the system has a negative impact on its energy saving capabilities. This has a direct impact on the comfort levels of the occupants. Some components such as ducts can prove tragic when they are poorly laid, some accidents have been reported of people sustaining first degree burns due to bursting of the hot water ducts. Caution!
