Symptoms Signaling ADHD In Children

By David Stone

A childs behavior changes from time to time. Some its natural but to some its a disorder referred to as ADHD in children. ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder that affects the child behavior. In our day today life, there are a lot of kids, school-aged who are being diagnosed with this disorder.

Normally, its okay for a child not to remember about home works, daydream when in class and react with little thinking. Main symptoms of the disorder will be impulsivity, negligence and hyperactivity. It affects the ability of a kid to learn and keep up with others. To deal with it, you need to be familiar to its symptoms and signs.

Most of you have come across children, who cannot sit at rest, when given clear instructions, they still will not follow them, and at times others tend to yell unsuitable words. People who do not understand will be heard referring to them as troublemakers, give them negative criticism but its because they may not be aware of, is the child may be suffering from this disorder.

Before children get to seven years, this is when signs and symptoms seem to appear. However, it may be hard differentiating between a kids normal behaviors and this disorder. Probably the disorder has affected if you see these common symptoms; if you notice behavior change while at school, home or when playing. They become forgetful and loose attention.

Children suffering from this will tend to pay attention to topics they like but not to those that think are boring and repetitive. These kids will jump from task to task without even completing any of them. They find difficulties in organizing their schoolwork which is not the case to most children. They will need calm and quiet environments for them to focus for they cannot in noisy environments.

This disorder most common symptom is hyperactivity. All kids tend to be naturally very active. But for those undergoing this, they stay on move with no rest. Others attempt doing a number of things at the same time. When one tries to make them sit still, they find it really difficult they keep their feet tapping, shaking their legs, while their fingers may be seen drumming. You will see them trying to leave their seats when they are not expected to, talk more and more and they also have a quick temper.

Impulsivity is another sign and indication. Children suffering from this disorder are found to cut themselves from others, interrupt conversations, invading peoples privacy, ask unrelated and personal queries, reacting with no reasoning, shouting an answer even if they are not asked to and will rush to guess instead of enough time to think.

This ailment is curable and the positive thing is those who suffer from it are likely to be imaginative and very creative, have flexibility for they have the capacity to consider multiple options at once, are enthusiastic as they rarely become boring hence the lively personality and energy by always keeping motivated and playing hard. It should be noted that this disorder has nothing to do with talent and intelligence.
